The Roller Coaster Ride

My life has been
A pretty wild ride
Up to this point,
Subject to unpredictable
Twists and turns,
Ups and downs,
Ins and outs.
I was never content
To sit idly by
And let my life happen
Just by chance.
I tried to live
An extraordinary life,
And to a large degree
I have succeeded.
I sought out opportunities
Wherever I could,
Took many risks,
Sometimes gambling
Everything I had
On some new possibility
That caught my attention.
In a certain sense,
I have only just begun.
No one knows where
The roller coaster
Will take me next,
But I am sure
It will be a ride
Worth remembering.
