Patience and cunning,
Or simply wary of
Being outsmarted by a fish,
There are a couple trout ponds there
Where you can grab
A handy bamboo pole
With a little bit of bait
And can be pretty assured
Of getting lucky,
For no matter how well schooled
Those fish might be,
They have never learned
To keep their mouths shut.
Well maybe a few
Have somehow gotten smart.
They are the really big ones
That nobody seems to catch,
But there are enough others
To keep anyone happy,
Particularly the kids.
When you are done,
They will cut them up for you
If you like
And give you a recipe or two
For cooking the fish.
It is a great way to relax
And relieve the tension
