High Beam Madness

I was cutting through Kansas
On one of the long straight highways
That seemed to go on forever.
I had been driving a while
And it must have been about midnight
When I see some fool
Way down the road
Coming in my direction
With a single powerful high beam
So I flashed him a couple of times
With my high beams
But he just kept coming.
I was getting a little upset
And even a bit concerned
When it became obvious
That he was going to pass me
On my right hand side.
It wasn’t until then that I realized
It was a train that I had been flashing
Running on tracks parallel to the road.
