Communal Theory

There is a theory I hold
To be a simple truth
That within any community
Or any group of people
Are the answers to the challenges
Faced by that community.
There is no need
To seek distant aid
When all that is required
Is to mobilize the resources
There at hand.
I have seen the price paid
Countless times
Of people thinking
That no solution was possible
Or that it has to come
From someplace far away.
The solution is here and now,
It is you and me.
