Youthful Imagination

In our youth,
Our imaginations
Were free to roam,
Our fantasies
Knew no bounds.
The world was
A wondrous place,
Mysterious and wild.
We could dream
Without concern
For what might
Or might not
Be possible.
As we grew older,
Most of us learned
To put brakes
On our minds,
And much of
The excitement of living
Was lost.
