We started out
Our conversation
As total strangers,
But that didn’t last.
Though we had traveled
Different paths
During our respective lives,
Came from
Completely different
Backgrounds,
Even different countries,
Practiced
Different religions
And grew up
Speaking different
Languages,
We discovered
Those differences
Were really trivial.
We had come to
Identical conclusions
About life.
We shared a common
Philosophy.
And we operate by
The same principles.
The ways we perceive
The world
And our part in it
Are virtually the same.
We are in fact
Twin brothers,
Though born
Of different parents.
