First Arguement

It had been six months
Of incredible bliss
Since we got married.
We were each
Wrapped in wonderment
Of the other,
Ecstatic to be together.
It occurred to me
That we had never had
A single argument
In the whole time
We had been together,
And I made the mistake
Of saying so to her.
She responded with
A devious smile
Which characterized her
When she was up to mischief,
And preceded to argue
That we had argued before.
We had so much fun
Arguing about arguing
That we argued ever after
Making up for lost time.
