Burdensome Load

If we could allow ourselves
The privilege
Of being honest
About our life,
And the struggles
We have gone through,
Our past might cease to be
Such a burdensome load.
Our experiences,
No matter how bizarre,
Are more common
Than we think,
And there is no need
For us to carry it alone.
