Writer's Block

A lot of people ask me
Whether or not
I ever get writer’s block
Or simply run out
Of things to say.
Inspiration
Is everywhere I look,
And writing narratives,
At least the way I do it,
Is a matter
Of being present to life.
All I have to do
Is open my eyes,
And notice what I see.
As for writer’s block,
It has never happened.
I have learned to live
With that apprehension
And use it constructively
To motivate me.
It’s an irrational fear
I have nurtured,
And it appears
To serve me well.
