The Verbal Prankster

She was gifted
With an impish
Sense of humor,
And a quick wit
That allowed her
To become
A master of the
Snappy comeback.
There wasn’t
A conversation
That she couldn’t
Twist or manipulate
To get a laugh,
No matter how serious,
Or solemn, the topic
Might be.
She was hysterical,
A natural comedian,
Who could easily
Lighten up
Any conversation with
Her spunky,
And often off-color,
Irreverence.
She had a way
Of getting me
To laugh at myself
When I least wanted
To be funny,
And I loved her for it.
