The game

Or if suddenly
All the rules change?
If something
Were to happen
That doesn’t
Conveniently fit
Within your
Current paradigm,
Or if you were to
Suddenly discover
That your present
Understanding
Doesn’t take
You very far,
Do you have
The flexibility
To amend
That perspective,
Or will you insist
On clinging to your
Original point of view
Until rigor mortis
Finally sets in?
Life has a way of
Penalizing us
For the rigidity.
Of our thinking.
