Reckless Heart

In the process of
Learning how
To be related,
I recklessly
Careened through life,
Bouncing
From one relationship
To the next.
Sometimes
The relationships
Were more imaginary
Than real,
But that didn’t stop
My foolish heart
From contemplating
And dreaming.
I probably broke
A few hearts
Along the way,
And for that
I apologize.
Who knows
What would have
Happened
Had I known
What I was doing?
