He had started
A dozen film projects
In the last few years,
But had yet
To complete
A single one.
His lifelong fantasy
Had been to produce
The perfect film,
A blockbuster
Of epic proportions.
It would be
The talk of the town,
One that would earn him
Great fame and fortune.
The problem was
He became disenchanted
With each one
Just shy of completion.
Once he got intimate
With a film,
As he tended to do
Towards the end,
All he focused on
Were the defects,
So one by one,
Each film project
Was relegated
To the waste bin.
