Apologized Existence

She had a way
Of constantly
Apologizing
For anything
She said or did,
As if she
Was embarrassed
By the act
Of being alive.
She saw herself
As someone
Others had to
Put up with,
Or simply tolerated,
And her primary concern
Was how much trouble
Her existence
Caused them.
She had no clue,
In her diminutive
State of mind,
How beautiful she was,
Or how much of
A contribution
She could be
In service to others.
