Three Medical Students

There were three
Young students
About to enter
Medical school.
There was one
Whose father
And grandfather
Were both doctors,
And it was
A foregone conclusion
Almost from the day
He was born
That he would also
Become a doctor,
So he never really had
Much of a choice
In the matter.
There was another
Who was excited
By the money
That doctors make,
And she was clearly
After the money.
The third student
Had a passion
For internal medicine
And a fascination
With the chemistry
Of the human body.
Medical school
Will be tough
For all of them,
But I am willing to bet
That the one
With passion
For the practice
Will be the one
Who ends out
Becoming the best
Medical practitioner.
