He lives a phenomenal life.
He practically has it all,
Love, fame and fortune.
He has a devoted wife,
And two beautiful children,
A lucrative job
That is his passion in life,
A palatial home,
And all the toys
Money can buy,
Yet he strangely lacks
The freedom to enjoy
The things he has.
As he surveys his bounty,
It occurs to him
This is more than he
Possibly deserves.
Inside his head
He entertains the most
Ridiculous of questions:
If his wife is really that sharp,
Then why is she with him?
When will the bubble burst?
He just can’t see himself
As worthy of all that he has.
It seems an extraordinary accident,
A miraculous twist of fate
That all this wealth
Has come his way,
And he keeps expecting
The doors of his castle
To come crashing down,
And for everything he has
To suddenly disappear.
