The Making of a Revolutionary

I may have been
Largely apathetic
About most things
During the chaos
Of the late 60’s,
But when a certain
Revolutionary spirited coed,
In tune with the times,
Suggested that we do it
For the revolution,
I became an instant
Revolutionary.
I was never really sure
Which revolution
She was talking about,
But I don’t suppose
It really mattered.
Since that day,
I have searched
High and low
For a better excuse
For doing it,
But that was the best one
I ever encountered.
