Enthusiasm

On a recent trip to Disneyland
The parents of a five year old
Were rudely awakened
From a sound sleep
By a blood curdling scream
Of their anxious young son.
As they jerked awake
Wondering what on earth happened,
The little boy frantically yelled
Get Up! Get Up!
As if it was an emergency.
When they asked
What was the matter,
He informed them
That the sun was up
And it was time to go!
Such enthusiasm is hard to take
At 6:30 in the morning
For most of us old foggies.
