Absurdity

There is a
Fundamental absurdity
In the message
We hear
From so many
Preachers of success.
They encourage us
To make a list
Of all the things
We wish to accomplish
Each day, week, month etc.
Then tell us
To find someone else
To hold us accountable
To doing the things
We say we want to do.
If we have someone else
With whom
We can share
What we are up to,
Then why on earth
Would we want
To use them
To reinforce
Our own monologue
Rather than
Have a dialog
To generate
Possible actions
We may never have
Dreamed of
If the two of us
Had not put
Our heads together?
