My radar
Is finely tuned
To ferret out
Phonies hiding
Amongst the people
I encounter.
I have little patience
For putting up with
Anyone who pretends
To be something
They obviously aren’t,
And I imagine
The same hold true
For almost anyone
Else out there as well.
Why then,
Would anyone bother
Trying to fake
Feelings or emotions?
Most of us
Just aren’t that good
Of actors
Or actresses
To pull it off.
Just be yourself,
And be honest,
Is the best advise
I can give.
