He put on
Quite a show
For the world,
Pretending to
Have it all together,
Perpetrating
The illusion
That he had it made.
He feigned abundance,
As if there was
No limit to his resources
But he secretly lived
In a world of scarcity,
And only acted as if
He didn’t have
A care in the world.
