The Social Giraffe

He is a social giraffe,
With his head
Up in the clouds,
Looking down on
On the rest of us,
Quietly observing
Our comings
And goings,
And condemning
Everything he sees.
He considers himself
To be above
Our trivial pursuits,
And I suppose,
From his point of view,
He is, but
It is a philosophy
That leaves him
Very much alone.
