The Pundit

He was a man
Of few words,
But a sage
All the same.
He had a knack
For maintaining
His cool
While others
Were busy
Losing theirs.
He moved
As if locked
In slow motion,
For he always
Thought things through
Before he acted.
Every stride
He took
Or word he uttered
Was calculated
And deliberate.
When he moved,
Work was accomplished
And no effort
Was ever wasted.
In his sluggish,
Methodical way,
He accomplished
Far more than
Any ten normal men,
And when he spoke,
Everyone listened
For the wisdom
He imparted.
