She was a force
In her own right,
An impassioned
Public speaker,
One whose eloquence
And heart felt passion
Touched all
Who heard her speak,
Yet she dominated
The conversation
Even before
She spoke a word.
What riveted
The audience’s attention
Was not her looks
Or her wily feminine ways,
But it was the way
She carried herself
That told the world
She had something to say
Long before she said it.
