The Evolution of Wisdom

A child was born
Into a universe
Full of random
Sights and sounds,
And instinct
Drives him
To find order
To the chaos.
He senses
An underlying logic
To the way
The world operates,
And postulates that
There must be
Physical laws governing
Such actions.
He applies science
And mathematics
In his quest
To understand.
He derives the laws
Of physics, chemistry
And thermodynamics
To make sense of
The complexity.
But it is women
That befuddles him.
They defy
His sense of rationality,
So he came up with
God and the Devil
To explain their actions.
